Yagry Beach
Yagry is the most popular place for vacation in vicinity of Severodvinsk, famous for its many kilometers of sandy beach, bordered by a dense pine forest and picturesque dunes. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge, you can get to the beach by car or by bus.

Beach description
The beach is considered to be wild, although it is quiped with changing cabins. The four-kilometer coast strip is covered by gentle golden sand, which in some places forms almost Baltic dunes. Giant pine trees, filling the region with the heady smell of resin and needles, also induce involuntary associations with the Riga seaside.
The White Sea is famous for its changeable nature, the temperature of the water jumps depending on the direction of the wind and currents, and even at the height of summer it does not rise above 16. Despite that fact the beach is always crowded – vacationers arrange picnics, play football or volleyball, do kiting or windsurfing.
Along the beach there is the promenade with cafes, barbecue, shops and trade tents. In the neighborhood there is a park with children playgrounds and attractions, there is also a square with military monuments.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to visit the Russian Arctic is July, August and September. At this time, warm sunny weather sets in, which means more opportunities for a comfortable stay in tents, hiking and other delights of ecotourism. Although, swimming in the northern seas is unlikely to succeed (even in hot summer days, the water temperature does not exceed 11 degrees), but sunbathing on picturesque beaches, watching the tides and enjoying the sound of tidal bore will definitely work out.
