Beach description
The island has the richest recreational resources:
- kilometers of white sandy beaches,
- crystal clear bays,
- olive groves,
- plenty of picturesque lakes,
- few artesian springs.
On the southern coast of Ja Island (as tourists affectionately nicknamed it) there is a camp with changing rooms, beach furniture, cafes and several houses. On the island, you can sunbathe, swim with dolphins, feed seagulls, admire amazing sunsets, go kayaking, snorkelling, diving or deep-sea fishing.
Turists can also enjoy fascinating safari walks on the island, possible meetings with its inhabitants (deer, boars, raccoons, moufflons), a tour of the unique lighthouse of Eiffel (built at the beginning of the last century), an expedition to the monastic hermitage.
When is it better to go
The swimming season on Ukrainian beaches begins in early June and lasts until the end of September. Particularly in this period, tourists rush to the resort cities to enjoy the hot and sunny weather on the scenic coast.
