Shell beach

Shell is one of the most unusual and beautiful beaches in the world. It is a very long stretch of Australia's Coral Coast, completely covered in pink and white shells.

Beach description

The beach area is very wide and long, Shell beach is over 100 km long. This part of Western Australia coastline is not only very picturesque but also suitable for swimming and diving. There is no strong wind or high waves here.

Water of Shell Beach is very transparent and warm, and depth here increases smoothly. The entire ocean bottom near the coast is also covered with shells. Scuba divers can see many species of flora and fauna.

Shell is good for calm vacation. Families come here often due to children's love to games with shells. This place is visited by everyone dreaming of the beach privacy. Due to the beach length, it's easy to find a free site on it.

The beach is equipped with shower stalls and toilets. You cannot rent sling chairs and umbrellas here. It's better to take your own food and water because the beach has no facilities serving food. The beach is situated outside the city, so there are no accommodation option sin close vicinity to the coast.

When is it better to go

The busiest swimming season in Australia lasts from December to February. In this summer, for the southern latitudes, the mainland heats up to 25-30 °C, in places up to 40 °C. In winter (June to August) the air is cooled down to 11 °C. May and September are considered the best beach months with a cloudless sky and not too active sun.
