Tanjung Gelam beach
Tanjung Gelam Beach is a long sandy beach surrounded by tropical vegetation that creates a natural shade. Surprisingly beautiful, it is semi-desert in the morning and crowded with visitors in the evening. There is a beach in the western part of Karimunjava and you can get to it by land or by sea – on a rented car or boat.

Tanjung Gelam Beach is a wild beach with no infrastructure, with the exception of several grocery stores located near the beach area and allowing you to eat without leaving the beach.
Soft, white, fairly clean sand, a shallow sandy bottom and soft surf create comfortable conditions for a relaxed and active beach holiday. Tanjung Gelam Beach is perfect for relaxing together, in company or with children. Spending time on Tanjung Gelam beach, visitors have the opportunity to sunbathe and swim, take magnificent pictures of the sea sunset, and also, if they take special equipment with them, snorkel. Diving is promoted by the coral reef located in shallow water, not far from the coast, inhabited by a large number of tropical living creatures.
When is it better to go?
The air temperature throughout the year differs little and keeps within + 28-30 degrees. In the evening and at night, it is slightly cooler, but the thermometer rarely falls below +23 degrees. The water temperature is also stable. In order to avoid the rainy season (months from December to March), it is better to visit the country from May to August.
