Timang beach
Timang is a unique beach where big waves, lobsters, beautiful panoramic landscapes overlooking the sea and an exciting gondola ride to Panjang island await tourists. The beach is located in Gunung Kidul, a 3-hour drive from Jakarta. Getting to it is not easy: you need to drive a rented car on a dirt road. 3 km from the beach there is a parking lot where you can park your car and overcome the rest of the road using the services of a motorcycle taxi.

It will be necessary to pay a fee for entering the beach, it is important to keep in mind that the fee is not fixed and a receipt for payment is not issued. The beach area of Timanga consists of two parts: on the east side there is a classic white-sand beach, on the west side there is a steep hill connected by a 100-meter cable car with a rocky cliff that stands separately in the sea, where local fishermen hunt lobsters. Timang Beach is unorganized and unobtrusive, it is great for arranging a romantic picnic and photo shoots at sunset.
When is it better to go?
The air temperature throughout the year differs little and keeps within + 28-30 degrees. In the evening and at night, it is slightly cooler, but the thermometer rarely falls below +23 degrees. The water temperature is also stable. In order to avoid the rainy season (months from December to March), it is better to visit the country from May to August.
