St John beach

The St John Island is a solitary island near Singapore perfect for calm family vacations. The resort is the second most popular in the country. It's not crowded and the coastline doesn't see a lot of noisy crowds, the infrastructure here is just beginning to develop.

Beach description

The coastline consists of numerous lagoons, tall palm trees and snow white sand. It's narrow and the trees grows right near the water, tourists hide from the heat of the sun in their shadows. The depth rise is gradual, the water itself is shallow and is great for children. The majority of the island is occupied by the National Park, so you can enjoy the untouched nature and the cleanliness. Construction is prohibited here. The conditions for underwater swimming are great, tourists can sunbathe and relax far from the hustle and bustle of cities. There are no waves and wind.

Changing rooms, shops with water and snacks, free toilets, barbecue and picnic spots are all set up for the tourists' convenience. Travellers stay in local bungalows that can be rented after coming to the island. St John is a well-known diving spot. The water here is crystal clear, transparent and has numerous coral reefs and unique sea inhabitants. The island is home to sea cucumbers and other unique animals. The only way to get to St John is via water transport. A ferry from the World Trade Center comes everyday, a ticket costs 15 dollars.

When is it better to go

Singapore – is a state located near the equator, which makes the temperature of air and water is nearly the same on its territory. The climate is tropical monsoon, so it rains all year round. The rainiest time is from November to February, so you should go to Singapore from March to October.
