Loh Dalum beach, popular among tourists, is located in the northern part of the sand spit, which connects the two parts of the island in the bay of the same name. The coastline is narrow, the coast is 1.1 kilometers long. There is a similar Tonsai beach with a famous ferry pier on the opposite side of the spit. There is no pier on Loh Dalum, boats do not sail close to the shore - the conditions are more suitable for a carefree tourist beach holiday. On the beach, you will find scenic views of the nearby beach, sheer cliffs and the azure ocean without waves. The beach is shallow, suitable for families with children. There is a rental service for umbrellas and sunbeds for visitors on the coast. There are few vacationers on the beach during the day.
Loh Dalum is prone high and low tides. At low tide, the water goes to the center of the bay for 100 meters, it is impossible to swim, stones are exposed, at high tide you need to go a considerable distance for a comfortable swim. Fine white sand lies on the coast, the bottom is smooth, there are no stones. High waves and strong winds never happen. The ocean is azure in color, abundant tropical vegetation thrives on the slopes of high mountains. The coast is cleaned daily, but due to the popularity of the resort, you can find garbage on the beach.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.

Infrastructure
Loh Dalum Beach is located near Tonsai Village. This is a place where a noisy atmosphere reigns, the most developed infrastructure on the entire island is here. There are shops, bars, restaurants, banks, ATMs, minimarkets.
On the other side of the settlement is Tonsai Beach - a more lively place with a pier, which has many boats every day, ferries constantly go in and out. You can rent a room in numerous hotels on the coast of the island. There is a rental of umbrellas, deck chairs and paid toilets in the western part of the coast.
Lovers of outdoor activities on Loh Dalum Beach can go in for wakeboarding, sailing, snorkeling at the entrance to the bay and ride on bananas or kayaks.

Most of the tourists on the beach appear in the evening. Loh Dalum is a resort for lovers of active nightlife. From 18:00 bars and nightclubs open their doors in the eastern part of the beach, loud music is turned on, discos begin. The situation on the west coast is calmer, there are fewer bars. The entertainment program of the bars consists of a fire show, discos, competitions, Thai boxing, dancing in the sand. Fun on the beach lasts until the morning.
From Loh Dalum Beach, you can go kayaking or renting boats to the nearby Monkey Island and Nui Bay. It’s better to go to the monkey island in the morning, while there are fewer tourists.
