Monkey Beach

The length of the beach coastline is 200 meters, the width depends on the high and low tides, varies between 10-30 meters. High steep rocks are located along the perimeter, which protect the coast from strong winds and waves. Monkey Beach has such a name because of its locals – a monkey colony. Because of them, crowds of tourists from around the world, the nearest islands and Thai resorts come to the coast of the wild Monkey Beach every day. Travelers bring fruits and drinks to treat the animals.

Apart from monkeys travelers are attracted by picturesque views, as well as interesting places for diving and snorkeling. In nearshore waters the bottom is sandy and rocky, 10 meters from the shore there are many coral reefs. The shore is gentle, the slope is 100 meters. At high tide, there is enough water for adults and children to swim. The resort is suitable for holidays with family. The water is clean and transparent. There's no infrastructure, they take everything with them. You have to keep an eye on things – monkeys can take something away from tourists and take it to the jungle. The only way to get to Monkey Beach is by sea, as the coast is fenced off from the other side of the island by impassable rocks.

When is it better to go

The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.
