Fernandez Bay beach
Fernandez Bay is a beautiful secluded crescent-shaped beach located in the bay of the same name on the southeastern coast of the Bahamian Cat Islands, north of New Byte. Although quite a few cozy cottages and villas are located relatively close to it, this is still a great place for those who want to escape from the noisy crowds and enjoy a relatively secluded beach holiday.

The 1.6 km long beach impresses with its super fine snow white sand which makes a special contrast against the background of chrysolite-colored waves. Emerald beefwood and coconut palms surriunding the beach creates the natural shelter from the heat. The slightly sloping water entry, sand bottom and very short waves bring it the glory of the best place for family recreation on the entire island.
calm and very clear waters are perfect for sailing, beach kayaking and snorkeling. In the evenings, you can enjoy relaxed romantic walks and observe the magnetic colors of ocean sunset. The vast beach gives the feeling of seclusion, and is perfect for romantic tourists. You can easily get to te beach by car from the island airport if you follow the western direction by the main road. If you took a car, you can drive to the neighboring New Bite beach.
When is the best time to go?
Holidays in the Bahamas are good at any time of the year, but the busy season is in the period from mid-November to May. The Bahamas are disposed quite low in relation to sea level, so the wind blows in the winter months, but it is gentle and soberly pleasant. The air temperature is between 27-29 degrees from the end of autumn to the beginning of summer. Traveling with children, it is better to come in the autumn months, while the spring is more appropriate to go for new emotions, and peacefully enjoy the sunshine – in winter.
