Uqair beach
Uqair Beach is located in 100 km south from Dammam. It's famous for soft white sand, lush lawns, lots of trees. Stone houses for picnics with tables and benches are installed on beach territory. Also there are a playground, pedestrian areas, streetlights, a toilet, changing zones and a shower.

Beach description
Uqair is very big: 2.5 km long and 70 m wide. In its waters live a lot of fish, crabs and dolphins. The beach is famous for transparent and clean water, from area to area with a smooth set of depth, weak wind and small waves. Eventually, it's perfectly clean: people can bare walk, not worrying about glass and other dangerous things in the sand.
Uqair is very popular with Saudi. To have a nice rest in calm atmosphere, it's better to come at 8-9 a.m. or at weekdays. In the vicinity of the beach are the ruins of an ancient Arab port. Here and there are dilapidated colonial-era buildings, Eastern columns, the remains of gardens. For local gourmets work more than 10 restaurants and hotels.
Important: near the shore there are no shops. It's recommended to buy necessities before coming to Uqair. The beach is accessible by taxi and private transport. This part is perfect for families with children.
When is the best time to go?
The period from November to April, when the sweltering heat and strong winds peculiar for the summer months have not yet come, is considered the best time to visit the eastern coast of Saudi Arabia. The temperature of air and sea water at this time is approximately the same and does not exceed 28-29 degrees.
