Las Flores beach

You can reach Playa Las Flores from the largest city in the region, San Miguel, by taxi or rented car, as well as by shuttle bus to the neighboring beach of El Cuco, and then walking to the destination or drive up by the taxi as well.

Las Flores Beach is clean, has a gentle slope, covered with black sand and surrounded by tropical forest. The coastal zone relief in this place has peculiarities that allow a strong surf to wash the beach. The waves rising at the break point attract experienced surfers who come to this beach alone, as companies and families.

Playa Las Flores is an atmospheric and rather secluded place, not crowded and with developed infrastructure. From the available activities, except surfing, you can only go for walks along the beach. The most comfortable place to stay overnight is in one of the 2- or 3-star hotels near the beach. In addition, if you notify the POLITUR Tourist Police, which ensures the safety of tourists, in advance, you can set up your camp right on the territory of Playa Las Flores. Here you can also buy food and water from the locals, but to find bars and nightclubs, you'll have to go to San Miguel.

When is the best time to go?

From May to October, in Salvador, there are heavy rains, after which the most climatically favorable period for visiting the country begins - from November to April. It should be borne in mind that in late December - early January, resorts are filled with vacationers who come to celebrate Christmas and New Year (mainly by Americans), which affects prices.
