Yalong Bay beach

Yalong Bay, located in 25 km from Sanya, can boast with the presence of all natural components of beach tourism:
- transparant sea water, the cleanest on the entire coast of Sanya (underwater visibility up to 10 meters in combination with several coral reefs creates exceptional conditions for diving);
- finest white sand covering 8,6 hectares of coastal arc-shaped strip length of 7.5 km and a width of 50 m;
- all year round soft climate, without sharp divided seasons and long hot periods (the average temperature is 25,5° С);
- lush green hills surrounding Yalong Bay;
- clean air, sea freshness and tropical aroma.
Dangerous streams pass Yalong Bay beach, so swimming here is allowed around the clock. Coastal shallow water and smooth entry into the sea create comfortable conditions for vacationers with young children. The large length of the coastline provides an opportunity to retire.
When is it better to go
The most favorable time for visiting Hainan – is the period from December to March, when warm and mild weather with an optimum temperature of 23-25 °C is established. Summer in Hainan begins in June and ends in November. These are the "hottest" months of the year – with heat up to 39 °C, typhoons, rains and storms. Holidays in February will provide an opportunity to celebrate the Chinese New Year, but will require a lot of spending.

Infrastructure
Umbrellas and sunbeds are always available, so as showers and toilets. Rescuers armed with megaphones and sirens from several towers ensure the safety of swimming.
Diving centers provide tourists with equipment for underwater trips and fishing. The relaxing promenade is accompanied by a walking area with shady alleys, shrub sculptures and installations made of natural materials.
Where to stop
On the first line there are fashionable 5 star hotels and villas with gardens and parks, unique architecture pools, works of sculptural art. Budget accomodations can be found at the distance of several kilometers from the beach.
Where to eat
Cafe and restaurant menus offer dishes of Asian, International, Mediterranean and local cuisine. Many restaurants pamper visitors with signature seafood cooking.
Price tags in elite restaurants are impressive no less than the range of delicacies. Food on Yalong Bay will cost almost twice as much as in the center of Sanya.

Active sport lovers have a huge range of interesting and useful pastime:

- banana boating, riding hydro scooter, pleasure boats available (catamaran, yacht, boat);

- Yalong Bay Central Square with 27-meter totem pole and four tents, similar to white sails;
- 1506 hectar Tropical Paradise Forest Park with rope and glass bridges, raised above the ground at 450 m, and a unique gallery of orchids;
- Shell Museum & Butterfly Valley are thematic exhibition complexes with a collection of many colorful butterflies and 300 species of sea shells.
Also it is necessary to choose a day to visit the Buddhist temple complex Nanshan which is the largest in Asia. It's located not far from Sanya, it amazes with the beauty of religious buildings and statues, is remembered by the gallery of Centenarians and the Park of Happiness.
