Sveti Ivan beach
Sveti Ivan beach is located in the North of Croatia in the picturesque bay of the Cres island at the foot of high cliffs, covered with lush stunted vegetation. The coast is close to the village of Lubenica, which can be reached on foot or by boat. The hiking trail passes through the slopes of the cliffs above the beach, from these points you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Adriatic sea.

Sveti Ivan beach is quite a secluded place with a deserted shore and untouched nature. The coast is covered with small pebbles with shades varying from white to dark gray. The sea is mostly calm without high waves. The water is clear and transparent, light blue near the shore and with a bright blue transition in places of increasing depth. The beach is comfortable for swimming due to the gentle approach and gradual deepening of the bottom. This place is popular among families with children and teenagers. It is not uncommon for vacationers to snorkel on this beach.
Recently, Sveti Ivan beach took the 15th place in the rating of the German magazine “Build” among the 40 most beautiful beaches in the world. This place is attracted by beautiful natural scenery and by the incredible aroma of local plants and sea air. It is worth noting that the beach is wild, so there is no infrastructure on it.
When is the best time to go?
Although the summer in Croatia is hot (the temperature can rise up to 30 degrees), but thanks to the sea breezes it is very pleasant - the best time for a beach holiday. If you want to see the sights of this country rich in historical events, it is better to choose tours in spring or autumn: firstly, the weather is comfortable, and secondly, there are not so many tourists in these times of the year, which positively affects prices.
