Bonaparte beach
This is a sand and pebble beach in Bretagne, which is known not only for its unique natural ensemble, but for its historical parts. During World War II, this section of water and land was a stronghold of the Resistance. Nowadays, it is reminiscent of a memorial plaque on one of the rocks. Part of the beach is made of sand (by the way, it is very soft and plastic, kids will have something to do with it), and part is made of pebbles. The entrance to the sea depends on the section – there are gentle, flat zones, and there are – with stones.

Bonaparte is a chamber beach, surrounded by a dense, high wall of rocks (108 m high!). The way to the water and coastal strip leads through a tunnel in the rock. During the tide, the land is completely hidden underwater, leaving the rocks at war with the sea. Therefore, before you go to the beach – check if the tide is expected at this time, otherwise you will have to look for another place.
Yuo can get here by car on the road 786, tuning off at Plouha to the country road, or from the nearest town of Saint-Brieuc by bus number 9 to the stop Dernier sou. However, in the latter case, you still have to walk about 2 km on foot. The beach has a free parking lot and a toilet. It is not forbidden to have a rest with four-legged friends, which is a significant plus for dogs.
