Wied il-Ghasri beach
Wied il-Ghasri small rocky beach is located on the shores of the eponymous bay in a narrow crevice between the rocks on Gozo island. Steps carved into the rock lead to the beach.

Beach description
Wied il-Ghasri is not well-equipped for ordinary beach vacation. There are no entertainment points, sunbeds and umbrellas rental, beach equipment. Tourists with children will not enjoy spending time on this beach at all.
The beach is popular among fans of exploration of the deep sea. Variety of grottoes and underwater caves, that could be interesting for divers and scuba diving enthusiasts, were created by the sea. Despite the limited area, the bay is not defended from the air force of nature. Gusty winds often blow in the crevice between high cliffs, raising high waves. Diving is very risky in such weather.
Due to the difficult accessibility and lack of infrastructure, Wied il-Ghasri is not popular among both locals and ordinary tourists. The rugged ground road, which can be overcome only by SUV, leads to the beach there is a parking near the rocks.
You can reach Wied il-Ghasri by bus No. 306 from Victoria to the Stivali stop and walk about one kilometer.
When is it better to go
The swimming season in Malta lasts from late May to October. The air temperature reaches comfortable +25-30°C, and the water temperature does not fall below +23°C. In some regions of the Maltese archipelago, the water warms up to +26-28°C. In summer, dry, sunny and calm weather prevails. Precipitation is rare. The southern coast of Malta is often influenced by the dry desert winds of Africa, raising high waves and bringing the sultry breath of the Sahara to the islands.
