Gdynia Orłowo Beach
Gdynia's Orłowo district, nestled along the southern coast, boasts an expansive sandy beach that stretches invitingly beside the Baltic Sea. Orłowo Beach is renowned for its picturesque vistas: it is intimate, pristine, and spacious. Most importantly, it offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, standing in stark contrast to the often crowded central beaches of Gdynia.

Beach description
Rescue teams monitor the safety of guests along a hundred-meter stretch of the beach. There are signs in the water that divide the beach into two areas:
- Red buoys: mark a zone with a depth of 1.2 m, suitable for children and non-swimmers.
- Yellow buoys: indicate a depth ranging from 2.5 to 3 m. The waves are typically moderate, although the sunny weather is often accompanied by a cold wind.
Visitors can enjoy the walking pier and the summer stage of the City Theater on the beach, where open-air theater performances and concerts are held.
In the Orłowo region itself, there are numerous attractions, particularly natural ones. The calling card of the area is the Orłowski Cliff, a steep seashore or cliff extending over 650 meters. Its slopes are adorned with diverse vegetation, including protected species. There are two picturesque walking routes around the Cliff that lead to the center of Gdynia. The first is a beach route, while the second is a forest trail.
Orłowo Beach is accessible by city trolleybus No. 26, with a stop approximately 800 meters to the left of the beach. For those driving, parking is available on Orłowska Street, just 200 meters from the pier.
When is the best time to visit?
The best time to visit Poland for a beach vacation is during the summer months, specifically from June to August. This period offers the most favorable weather conditions for enjoying the country's beautiful Baltic Sea coastline.
- June: The onset of summer brings milder temperatures and longer days, making it a great time to enjoy the seaside without the peak season crowds.
- July: July is the warmest month, with temperatures often reaching up to 30°C (86°F). The warm weather and school holidays make it a popular time for both locals and tourists, resulting in a lively atmosphere.
- August: The water temperatures peak in August, providing the best conditions for swimming and water sports. However, it's also when beaches are most crowded, so early booking is recommended.
While these summer months are ideal for a beach vacation, it's important to note that they are also the busiest. If you prefer a quieter experience, late May or early September can also offer pleasant weather, though the water might be a bit cooler.
