Hel Beach
Hel is a small beach town located on an extended elongated eponymous cape in the depths of Gdansk Bay. The whole cape is very low-lying, with no noticeable elevations, covered with sand. In this place Gdansk Bay the bay is getting more shallow, therefore there are significant sandbars around the cape, on which the water warms up perfectly during the summer months.

Beach description
The beaches are located literally along the whole cape surrounding the town. The place itself looks like a drop on the map, which has frozen on a branch and is about to crash down to the city of Gdansk. The whole territory of the beach is covered with fine yellowy-brown sand. These same sands extend to the sea with notches. The cape itself is composed of sand dunes on which small forests and green lawns have appeared over time. Hel itself is literally situated in within sandy dunes like some desert Arabian city. This position provide the location with almost no wind in any weather.
It should be noted that swimming in Hel is quite safe as there are no stones and other different things in the sea, and the beach itself is very clean. In addition to its regular cleaning, there are other municipal employees. for instance, guests can meet rescues with dogs of the Newfoundland or Landseer breeds: they can first come to the aid of a drowning one.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to come to the Baltic resorts in Poland is the hottest months of the summer, from July to August.

Infrastructure
You can reach Hel both by car or by train. Despite the sea from almost all sides, ferries do not arrive here. It is only possible to get here on a rented yacht from Gdansk for the tidy sum. The road that leads here is not wide, therefore it is easy to get stuck in big traffic jam during rush hours in the summer months.
During rainfall, the peninsula literally becomes an island. Trains automatically stop shuttling. And it is not recommended to go by car. At some moments of especially bad weather, road services even block roads. Also, you should think about menu and to take a part of goods from the city if you have specific preferences in food. Most dishes at the resort contain seafood in a quantity.
Hel is for peaceful snug vacation. There are no large hotels and resorts here. The only thing that stands out is the military port and garrison of the Polish Navy. Aside from that, there are family boarding houses and small bungalows along the beach. Perhaps the largest one can be considered Apartamenty Apartinfo Villa Helska, located 300 meters away from the sea and 500 away from the city center. The cost of 50 sq.m apartments here will amount to 80 euros per day.
However, similar rooms can be found in large numbers right on the beach. But you should book them in advance because in June it’s unlikely that you can book any room for the resort July-August season. And it would be not easy to find a place for wild vacation at once.Weather in Hel Beach

There is a scenic lighthouse on the cape, which is settled in view of high importance of the place and regular shipping to Gdansk and Gdynia. It is supposed to be one of the most beautiful places in Poland. Also, various sailboats regularly pass around the cape. Thanks to size and comfortable winds, Gdansk Bay is one of the popular places for regattas and sailing . Along the beach, ancient "artisanal" lighthouses are located, that were installed by the residents themselves so as not to get lost during a trip for fish.
Moreover, there is a number of museums (one of them is Fishing Museum), a nursery of seals, and numerous family cafes, which are located along the entire circular promenade of Hel.
