Cape Tribulation beach
Cape Tribulation is one of the pearls of Queensland. The beach is located on the north side of the cape of the same name. The history of its name is connected with the misadventures of explorer James Cook, who fell into the "crazy maze" when his ship crashed into the Endeavor reef near the Cape Tribulation. Cook called him the Cape of Sorrow, because here all his troubles began.

Beach description
For modern tourists, cape Tribulation is a source of good emotions only. The beach is well-protected from southeast trade winds. The reef surrounding it is a perfect place for studying during the ebbs. The beach borders on the tropical forest that can be examined both alone (on feet, or on a horseback), or witha guide. You'll receive special emotions from visiting the Bat House, the shelter for wounded bats and flying foxes created by nature defenders.
Tourists are offered the wide range of accommodation variants, from eco resorts to camping sites. They are all located in a valley resembling a giant amphitheatre with a crescent-shaped line of hills where such mountains as Sorrow (850 m) and Hemmant (1000 m) are the highest. Local climate allows farmers to grow rare tropical fruits and vegetables.
The beach has a car parking lot, a bar, and a restaurant. Within walking distance of Cape Tribulation, there are two small supermarkets, water sports and athletic equipment stores, cafes, ATM machines, a cinema and a few restaurants. Cape Tribulation is situated 35 kilometers northwards from ferry crossing over the Daintree River. To the north from the beach, there is Bloomfield Highway, leading to Cooktown
When is it better to go
The busiest swimming season in Australia lasts from December to February. In this summer, for the southern latitudes, the mainland heats up to 25-30 °C, in places up to 40 °C. In winter (June to August) the air is cooled down to 11 °C. May and September are considered the best beach months with a cloudless sky and not too active sun.
