Beach description
The long sandy and stony beach surrounded by sand dunes lies on the territory of the nature protection zone, where locals and gusts of the capital rest. Weekends are crowded, but weekdays are pretty deserted. Almost the entire length of the beach of Seven Mile descent into the water gentle, the bottom is sandy. Due to the cold ocean water and the high surf, there are few people who want to swim, but it is possible to surf, raft or kiteboard. Along the beach there are rental boats, motorboats, sapper and kitesurfing equipment. Golf courses, playgrounds and picnic areas are available. In the equestrian center you can rent horses for horseback riding along the coast. There some good hotels and campsites. There's cafe working. There are ramps for wheelchairs.
The Seven Mile beach is the perfect place for vacation with children. There is a children's entertainment center, where you can leave your child under the supervision of a caregiver while parents are on a boat or surfing.
When is it better to go
The busiest swimming season in Australia lasts from December to February. In this summer, for the southern latitudes, the mainland heats up to 25-30 °C, in places up to 40 °C. In winter (June to August) the air is cooled down to 11 °C. May and September are considered the best beach months with a cloudless sky and not too active sun.
