London beach
Located in the northern part of coral Christmas Island (Kiritimati) next to the village of the same name. Tourists can get there from the Kiritimati international airport by taxi, it will take a little more than an hour.

Beach description
The village is surrounded by several beaches, the best one is located it in a picturesque lagoon surrounded by giant coconut palms. Crystal clean water changes its shade depending on weather and daytime, and white sand seem to be even shinier against emerald greenery background. The sea in the lagoon is shallow and warm, there are areas with depth no more than 30cm. The bottom is smooth and sandy, with small patches of coral reef.
London Beaches like other beaches on the island are absolutely wild and empty, only occasionally on the shore can be met fishermen or ornithologists. In the village there are several guesthouses, where tourists can stay for a few days to have a rest, go fishing and enjoy the the splendor of pristine nature.
When is it better to go?
The beach season in Kiritimati (Republic of Kiribati) lasts all the time, however, climatic and weather conditions have divided the year into two seasons. The rainiest period falls in January-April, and the driest – in May and June, the hottest months (t ° + 32 °C) are September-November, the coldest (t ° + 26 °C) is January-March. Hurricanes are rarely on the island, and the weather is pretty good even in the rainy season, so trips to the beaches of Kiribati are possible at any time of the year.
