Nukunamo Island beach

Nukunamo Island is a small uninhabited island, located in the Haapai archipelago of the Kingdom of Tonga. People come here to relax from the noise of the metropolis and enjoy complete privacy.

Beach description

The shore is covered with fine white sand, sometimes stones can be seen. In the shade of tall palm trees, travelers hide from the scorching sun. No infrastructure, shops and hotels. People take all necessary things with, they book rooms in resorts and bungalows on other arhiarchipelago islands.

Active holiday lovers do surfing, scuba diving and diving with a mask. There is enough space for volleyball and beach football. Those wishing to attend Nukunamo rent boats and speed boats in dive centers or acquire tours in the many travel agencies. Ticket price is 30-40$.

When is it better to go

The beaches of the Tonga archipelago have a predominantly humid tropical climate. There are no temperature fluctuations in the northern islands, and in the south they are – within 5 degrees. February – is the hottest month, during the day the temperature rises to 30 - 32 degrees Celsius. Between July and September it is cooler. The rainy season lasts from November to April. Powerful tropical cyclones unfold at this time on the archipelago, the weather is stormy. The best time for recreation on the beaches of Tonga is the period from May to October.
