Cenang beach

Cenang Beach is located in the west of Langkawi Island, in the tourist Pantai district. It's a lively, crowded resort popular among Europeans and locals. The beach is located in a region with well-developed infrastructure.

Beach description

Cenang is a popular public beach on Langkawi Island. The coastline is 2 km long, and its width changes every hour due to tides. The beach's shape is curved. The water is warm and clean, and the coast is covered in grainy white sand. The descent is smooth. The water is calm and with no waves during high season.

The beach sees a lot of visitors, but there's enough space for everyone. The sea bottom is sandy, with numerous shells, sea urchins and sharp thorns, so it's advised to weap slippers. The sea bottom is covered in shells in the north of the beach.

Cenang is a well-kept and regularly cleaned beach. The beach is open for cars and bikes in the mornings and evenings, with vehicles freely moving across the beach.

When is it better to go

There are no sudden changes in temperature on the beaches of Malaysia's and possible to relax on the islands all year round. There is no particular season of rains and winds, precipitation is distributed depending on the month of the year and the region of the country.

There are enough accomodation options that include cheap hostels and guest houses, expensive hotels, luxurious apartments and villas. The majority of Cenang's visitors stay in the southern part.
