Beach description
The coast is covered in white sand and the water is azure, clean and great for swimming. The infrastructure is quite poor, there are no hotels or restaurants nearby, but there are a free parking lot, gazebos and paid showers and toilets.
The beach got its name due to the history of the location - a prison was located on the nearby Thai island Koh Tarutao, and prisoners tried to break out to Langkawi from there.
When is it better to go
There are no sudden changes in temperature on the beaches of Malaysia's and possible to relax on the islands all year round. There is no particular season of rains and winds, precipitation is distributed depending on the month of the year and the region of the country.
