Beach description
The beach is located in a picturesque part of the island with thick forests and hard to reach mountains. The descent is smooth, the sea bottom is sandy, but stones and sea urchins can be occasionally encountered. The sea is calm and very warm. The territory is covered in white sand. The beach is equipped with many umbrellas and sunbeds, showers and toilets are installed, kayaks and jet skis can be rented. Several cafes with good food and beverages and okay prices operate in the area. There's a small hotel on the beach where you can stay the night. Some hotels are located near the Na-Baan pier.
Nual is a popular and quite crowded beach, but it sees a lot less visitors than Tawaen. Elderly people and families with children frequently come here. Not a lot of young tourists.
When is it better to go
The period from November to March is considered the high season in Thailand. Comfortable air temperature, as well as minimal rainfall create optimal conditions for a beach holiday.

The name Monkey Beach comes from the fact that there's a big population of small monkeys that live on coastal rocks. The animals come to the beach from time to time, trying to get some food and stealing unsupervised things. The monkeys aren't aggressive and enjoy posing for photos and videos, can be fed with hands and even climb on to your shoulder. However it's still advised to be careful, especially if you bring children.
