Grand Anse beach
Grand Anse is the largest and most developed beach of Grenada. It is located 4 km from the capital and stretches for 3 km. This place is popular with families with children and young couples.

White sand, calm water, smooth descent, shallow waters near the coast - all this and more attracts many tourists here. Deep waters start 10 m away from the shore.
Many hotels operate near the beach, offering restricted areas to the visitors. But the public beach is also quite comfortable. Grande-Anse offers ecotourism which is popular nowadays. Reefs in the beach's water territory keep the unique ecosystem with rare flora and fauna. Water keeps its transparency even as far as 30 m away from the shore. You'll feel like you're inside the aquarium while exploring the natural habitat of underwater dwellers.
Grande-Anse offers tourists a wide array of activities. Yachts, catamarans, scooters, water skis. You can explore the local reefs and dive underwater. Shops, restaurants and rental stores operate near the beach.
You can get here from the capital St. George's by calling a taxi. It will cost you 1,5$, or 4$ during evenings.
When is it better to go
In the Caribbean you can relax all year round. It is always warm here. Even in the coldest season, the air temperature is never lower than +27˚. There is no concept of winter or summer, but there are wet and dry seasons.
In the rainy season (June to December) it is very humid, there are winds and storms. May – a transitional month, unpredictable, although there are already fewer rains, winds are also blowing strongly. This time is popular with surfers who come to Grenada to catch a wave.
The best time for the beach season is from January to April. During the day, the air temperature does not exceed +29˚, and at night +22˚. Water warms up to +26˚.
