Byblos beach
The beach is located on the west coast of Lebanon, 30 km away from the country's capital Beirut. It's the main public beach of Byblos (Jbeil), one of the oldest towns in the world. Unique cultural and historical monuments that are centuries old are located near the beach. These monuments include the old castle of crusaders, with an amazing view of the surroundings opening from there, a Roman theater, royal tombs, ruins of ancient temples and an archaeological museum where excavations take place to this day.

Beach description
The beach itself is quite long and covered in sand mixed with pebbles. It has all the necessities for a comfortable vacation. Guests are offered umbrellas, sunbeds, showers and changing booths, also there are fast food cafes with refreshing drinks. On the beach tourists can have fun on water attractions, rent a boat or catamaran, order shisha. Inflatable slides and trampolines are provided for children. The entrance is free all over the territory, except for the southern part, where beach club and lounge with swimming pool are located.
The bright turquoise sea is clean and calm. The entrance to the water is smooth, and the bottom is sandy and absolutely safe. It should be noticed that, unlike other Arabian counties, Lebanon is tolerant to women wearing separate swimming suits and open clothes, which is increasing tourist attractiveness of this country.
When is the best time to go?
The climate in southern Lebanon is very reminiscent of the Mediterranean – summers are very hot and dry, and winters are rainy. The best time for a beach holiday is from May to October, during the hottest months, the air temperature reaches 37 degrees, and the sea warms up to 29.
