Katara beach
Located on eastern coast of Katar, and is the main beach of Doha. The beach is in the city center and is a real oasis of relaxation and fun among the stone jungles of the modern metropolis. On May 2018 the entrance fee of 30$ was cancelled, and now everyone can enjoy the golden sand and clean turquoise sea regardless of the thickness of his wallet. However, sunbeds and water attractions are paid, an exception is made only for children under six, who can frolic for free on inflatable slides and trampolines.

Beach description
Here it's important to follow the dress-code. Women are not allowed to weak bikini, their suits should cover knees and elbows. Men can sunbathe wearing shorts and shirts. On the beach it's prohibited to take photos, walk with dogs, listen to loud music and swim after sunset. The order is vigilantly watched by rescuers and guards, violators are waiting for huge fines.
Everything else about Katara is not much different from other modern resorts. There are toilets, showers, changing booths; umbrellas, sunbeds and equipment rental. Water attractions are offered, boat rental, ocean excursions and yachting. A lot of children's playgrounds, sportsgrounds, along the shore there are various cafes and restaurants, shops.
When is it better to go?
April-May and September-November are regarded as the best time to visit the east coast of Qatar. There is no sweltering heat during these months, and sea water warms up to 27-28 degrees.
