Zekreet beach
Located on the Gulf of Zekreet along the western coast of Qatar, Zekreet Beach lies approximately 80 kilometers from Doha. A speedway extends from the capital to the beach, where tourists will find their turn just 5 kilometers before reaching the city. Beyond this point, the road meanders past the bizarre desert "mushrooms" that rise above the gentle sand dunes, eventually leading to a rocky shore that offers a striking contrast to Qatar's typically flat landscapes.

Beach description
Zekreet Beach, nestled in a small cozy bay shaped like a crescent, is flanked by picturesque limestone cliffs. The shore, adorned with golden sand interspersed with rocky patches, can be quite sharp for unprotected feet. The seabed, reminiscent of hard pumice, necessitates the use of special rubber shoes for protection.
The sea, shallow, warm, and crystal clear, is an ideal spot for diving and snorkeling, boasting a rich array of sea creatures. The area is also a haven for enthusiasts of kitesurfing, windsurfing, and paragliding, drawn by the fresh air and convenient launch sites atop the surrounding cliffs.
As the shore is wild and unspoiled, visitors are advised to bring essentials such as umbrellas, beach chairs, barbecue equipment, and ample food and water supplies. Having a first aid kit is also prudent, given that the nearest medical center is several kilometers away.
In the vicinity of the beach, there are numerous intriguing sites worth exploring. These include the ruins of an ancient fort and settlements, a majestic palace constructed by a local film studio for movie productions, and the iconic mushroom-shaped rock formations that lend the area a surreal ambiance.
