Anse Forbans beach
Anse Forbans is a beach in the bay on the South-East coast of the island of Mahe. From the airport visitors can get to Anse Forbans by bus or rented car.

Beach description
Covered with fine white sand shore is 1km long and 15m wide, it's shaded by lush tropical thickets. There are no infrastructure on the beach, except for the well maintained hotels. The descent into water is smooth and the sea bottom is sandy mixed with pebbles. It's desirable to swim in special shoes, because the bottom can be covered with wreckage corals, shells and sea urchins. Not so far from the beach is a big coral reef, which protects the waters from high waves and underwater streams. Anse Forbans is a great place for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling. The wide shoal provides an opportunity to relax with children.
The beach is quite popular and well visited. Surfers choose places with a more turbulent ocean. Anse Forbans offers perfect conditions for snorkeling and scuba diving. Divers reach the reef by swimming. There are several restaurants nearby, specializing in Creole and International cuisine.
When is it better to go
The Seychelles archipelago is located in the subequatorial climatic zone, which is characterized by stable sunny weather with little rainfall, without cyclones and sudden changes in daily and seasonal temperatures. The heat characteristic of the equator is tempered by the Indian Ocean. Air temperature ranges from + 27-33 °C.
- From December to April, the northeastern monsoons dominate the Seychelles. It is quite hot and humid, with heavy rains. Air temperature reaches a maximum. Water in the ocean warms up to + 30 °C.
- From June to October, the islands are in the grip of southeast monsoons. Humidity decreases significantly, the temperature is + 27-29 °C.
- The best time for swimming, diving, snorkeling is October and November, as well as the period from February to May.
- For surfing and sailing, it is advisable to set out from October to March.
