Beau Vallon beach
Beau Vallon is a beach located in the same named bay in northwestern part of Mahe Island of Seychelles archipelago. Dense tropical thickets, giving a comfortable shade, surrounded the wide beach line 2km long. It's easy and fast to get to the beach from every part of the city.

Beach description
Beau Vallon is covered with fine white sand which is comfortable to walk barefoot. The descent into the water is gentle, the bottom is sandy, without stones, shells and coral debris. Tourists can do without special shoes. The water in bay is warm, quite calm. It's good to swim at a low tide, during high tides there are strong waves. Mountains and high dense thickets protect the coast and water area from the winds. From the beach tourists can see Silhouette island, located 20 km from Mahe.
Rescue services are on duty on Beau Vallon, also there are restaurants, cafes, pizzerias, sport clubs. There are no umbrellas and sunbeds rental agencies, so it's advisable to take care of beach equipment in advance. Sportsgrounds and playgrounds for children equipped. There are no dangerous streams near Beau Vallon shores, but don't underestimate the ocean waves. Besides, tiny jellyfish sometimes come close to the shore.
Beau Vallon is the most popular and the most crowded beach of the island. Here come locals and tourists of all ages. A lot of families with children, youth, older people. Due to the impressive width and length the excessive congestion is not felt, but adherents of privacy are better to choose another place. Places under the trees are usually not enough, so it's better to go to the beach in the morning or in the evening. A parking lot is available near the beach.
When is it better to go
The Seychelles archipelago is located in the subequatorial climatic zone, which is characterized by stable sunny weather with little rainfall, without cyclones and sudden changes in daily and seasonal temperatures. The heat characteristic of the equator is tempered by the Indian Ocean. Air temperature ranges from + 27-33 °C.
- From December to April, the northeastern monsoons dominate the Seychelles. It is quite hot and humid, with heavy rains. Air temperature reaches a maximum. Water in the ocean warms up to + 30 °C.
- From June to October, the islands are in the grip of southeast monsoons. Humidity decreases significantly, the temperature is + 27-29 °C.
- The best time for swimming, diving, snorkeling is October and November, as well as the period from February to May.
- For surfing and sailing, it is advisable to set out from October to March.

Where to eat
In the city there are several markets, where tourists can find fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, meat and seafood. One of the markets opens near the beach once a week. Huge range of products are provided by supermarkets.
Restaurants, cafes, bars offer regional and international cuisine. There is a Russian restaurant with reasonable price. Fast food cafes offer takeaway food that can be delivered to the room.
What to do
There are diving centers, which are engaged in the organization of support for diving at coral reefs and other interesting places. Sport clubs offer sailing lessons, water and underwater equipment rental and organize ocean fishing. Visitors can do parasailing, scuba diving, diving, surfing, water skiing.
Not far from the beach and in the city there are several nightclubs, round the clock bars, discos, casinos. Travel agencies offer the opportunity to go on an excursion to Victoria, the island of Mahe with its rich flora and fauna or on a sea trip to other Islands of the archipelago. Also it's possible to go to separate trip by the rented car. The spectacular landscapes of Mahe and the neighboring Islands, the Indian ocean and the bottomless sky are great objects for photo and video shooting.
