Flamingo beach
Flamingo beach is one of the most impressive places on the coast, located at northwest of Costa Rica, Guanacasta province. The beach was named after the hotel that had been founded right there.

Beach description
Long beach is surrounded by thick greenery and covered with the fine sand that goes right into the water. Entrance into the water isn't steep, the bottom is hard. It gets deep couple meters further from the beach. High tide ways prevent from swimming.
Flamingo has pretty unique infrastructure. Instead of sunbeds and umbrellas there are hammocks attached to the trees where you can lie comfortably. There is also the dock where you cant rent a tour boat, or a motor boat.
The tourist industry is very well developed in a village close to Flamingo. There are many hotels, restaurants, bars, cafes, diners, and villas, apartments and bungalows overlooking the ocean are available for rent; tour agencies work here.
Restaurants open after 5 PM. The village center has cheap diners with quite good dishes at affordable prices.
You can get to Flamingo by bus from San Jose, santa Cruz, or Liberia where the international airport is located.
When is it better to go
The peak season in Costa Rica begins in December and lasts until April. This period is characterized by clear, sunny weather without precipitation and a massive influx of tourists. Air temperature – above +30°C, water – not below +25°C. From June to October, the rainy season prevails, when the country is flooded with heavy tropical downpours with churly blasts. It is possible to go on a trip in November and May, when the rains are not torrential and fall rarely. At this time, the cost of tours is reduced.
