Hamdeok beach
Hamdeok Beach is located on the north side of Jeju Island on the Pacific Ocean, not far from the airport. Crystal clear water of turquoise color, the cleanest sandy beach with white and golden sand – these are the features of Hamdeok Beach, because of which this beach is called Hawaii of South Korea. On Hamdeok, it is not crowded and calm, along the entire beach stretches a high hill from which a magnificent view of the beach and the ocean opens.

A significant disadvantage of the beach is a strong tide, which usually occurs after 14:00 and significantly reduces the territory of Hamdeok. By morning, the water leaves for 15-20 meters, at which time children like to play on the shallows with small pools on the beach.
Rescuers work on the beach, making sure that vacationers do not enter the water to a depth above the chest. Conventionally, Hamdeok Beach is divided into three parts: right, left and center. On the right side, mostly crowded and quiet, in this part of the beach you can retire. The left part of the beach is famous for the fact that small mollusks live on it, which in the evening give this part of the beach an unusual glow. In the central part of the beach there are toilets, changing cabins and lounges. Hamdeok Beach has modern cafes and restaurants.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to travel to Korea comes in spring or fall. In the summer it is too hot in Korea, besides the air humidity reaches 80%, which cannot but intensify the negative effect of high temperature. But in spring and autumn the weather is warm, but still cool enough for a comfortable stay.
