Pyoseon beach
It is located on the southeast coast of Jeju Island and is a fairly popular tourist destination. Its popularity is due to an unusual phenomenon that occurs at low tide: the coast turns into a round lake with a depth of less than 1 meter, which shimmers with glare of various shades.

Beach description
Pyoseon Beach – relatively large, spreads over 150,000 square meters. This is a sandy beach that impresses tourists with the diversity of sand structures at low tide. Literally every half meter, its color and density changes, which looks pretty picturesque.
Bathe on this beach mainly during low tides, when shallow water is formed. For children at this time, swimming is absolutely safe, for this family vacationers love it. Also, rest on Pyoseon Beach is recommended for people suffering from neuralgia, since the sand on its shore, formed from shell rock, has healing properties. The best effect can be obtained if you take sand baths. It is recommended to rest here from the beginning of July to September. Later, the water becomes cold, so swimming is uncomfortable.
It is a calm beach since it is located off of the city of Jeju. It is not as crowded as on other beaches of the island, however, to call it deserted – the language does not turn. There are always people on it.
When is the best time to go?
The best time to travel to Korea comes in spring or fall. In the summer it is too hot in Korea, besides the air humidity reaches 80%, which cannot but intensify the negative effect of high temperature. But in spring and autumn the weather is warm, but still cool enough for a comfortable stay.

The beach is equipped with the necessary amenities – dressing rooms and shower rooms, a toilet, rental points for sun loungers, umbrellas and chairs. Although natural coniferous plantations create a natural shade and coolness, therefore, you can do without an umbrella. A large parking lot is located near it, and in the forest near the beach there is even a zone for a campground.
There are plenty of places to stay near the shore. One of them is the Haevichi Hotel. On the waterfront there are many entertainment places – bars, restaurants, clubs, shops. Therefore, if you get bored of swimming and sunbathing, you can walk along the promenade¸ to drink aromatic coffee and taste a delicious seafood delicacy of local cuisine.

- Every August, the Pyoseon White Sands Festival is held here, during which colorful events are held where locals and guests enjoy musical performances, games, dances and sporting events.
- Near the beach is the Museum of the Jeju Folk Village, which shows the rustic life of the 1890s.
- In the remote part of the beach there is a lighthouse. When visiting it one gets the impression that you are at the end of the world. Especially magical views open to the gaze of tourists during sunrise.
