Lucavsala beach
Lutsavsala is a city beach. Unlike other beaches, Lutsavsala has a huge territory with sand and grass coating. This is a large park area, where shady trees are located, under whose crown it is possible to shelter from the scorching sun.

Beach description
On the beach there are barbecue areas, the largest children's playground; places for sports games of volleyball and football, an area of outdoor trainers. So that vacationers do not injure themselves while swimming, the bottom is cleared of rocks and shingle. Rescuers, whose tower resembles an Indian bungalow on polling, watch the bathing. In this house there is even a branch of the local library, where in the summer it is possible to take a book for reading in the fresh air. But basically, this place is ideal for active rest.
There is a parking lot near the beach, which is still small, but the authorities plan to expand it, as this place is becoming very popular. Soon, the beach will be equipped for people with disabilities by arranging wooden ramps. There will also be a small pier, where it wiil be possible to moor boats.
When is it better to go
The climate of the Latvian coast belongs to the soft sea. There are few sunny days in a year, and the rest of the time the sky is overcast, often it rains. The Baltic Sea does not freeze even in winter. But in summer, the water temperature off the coast only occasionally rises to +22...+23˚С. All the rest of the time - not more than +18˚С.
The peak season on the beaches of Riga Seaside begins in late July, August. The air temperature at this time reaches a comfortable +25°C, sometimes it can increase to +35°C. Winds often blow from the sea. The weather in Latvia is unpredictable, so when planning a vacation in the resorts of Latvia it is better to specifically monitor the weather.
