Beach description
There is amazingly clean, calm and warm water. The absence of sand on this pebble beach is compensated by the presence of a terrace of 700 m², leading to the sea pontoon and two entrances to the beach.
The beach infrastructure includes playground, volleyball court, restaurant, three bars and a shower. Rescuers work here during the summer. Along the beach there is a promenade path. Excellent sanitary conditions and high comfort of the beach Madalena do Mar marked with an honorary eco-sign "Blue flag".
A Terras de Aventura club, which means "World of adventures", is located near the beach, offers a variety of outdoor recreation programs. Preference is given to marine activities such as diving, sport fishing and сanoeing.
When is it better to go
The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.
