Seixal beach

Seixal is covered by black sand, shiny and amazingly soft. Absence of waves, crystal transparance of water, covered with lush greenery cliffs and waterfalls complement the list of advantages of Seixal. The calmness of the water in the lagoon is monitored by a breakwater installed on the right side of the beach. The gently sloping shore, smoothly turning into the ocean, relieves the fear of small swimmers.

For the natural charm and breathtaking views of one of the best Northern beaches of Madeira, visitors are willing to give up sun loungers, toilets and showers. Tourists get only small cafe and parking. The lack of infrastructure doesn't spoil the impression of a holiday on the beach. Seixal has a magnetic effect on romantics, artists and connoisseurs of pristine nature.

When is it better to go

The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.
