Ribeira Brava beach
Riberia Brava is a beach recreation area in the center of the city of the same name. After the modernization this place in the West of Madeira Island will give odds to many prestigious beaches of the world.

Beach description
Part of the pebble cover was was artificially raised and covered with volcanic black sand. For protection from huge waves a reliable barrier was established .
The beach has various facilities:
- pools for children,
- buffet,
- lounge area,
- changing rooms.
Water safety is provided by the rescue service. In addition to water activities and sunbathing, guests can play beach volleyball and football on the sportsground.
When is it better to go
The beach season in Portugal lasts from the beginning of June until September, when the air temperature reaches +30°C and the water temperature - +19°C. It should be remembered that the Atlantic Ocean does not warm up well and cools quickly, lovers of a more comfortable temperature can swim in natural stone pools, which are quite numerous on the coast.
