Mangalia beach
Mangalia is a unique sandy beach located in the south of Romania in the resort town of the same name, famous for its thermal and mineral springs, therapeutic muds.

Beach description
The beach area in Mangalia is the widest on the whole coast - 250 m, covered with sand, and containing sapropel particles, which have a general health improving effect. The beach is characterized by a gentle approach to the sea and a fairly large area of shallow water, clean water and soft surf. The cozy, quiet, and relaxed atmosphere on the beach and throughout the resort makes Mangalia especially attractive families with children and elderly couples.
Mangalia is a free beach, where you can not only sunbathe and swim, but try popular beach activities - water skiing, bananas, slides and scooters, make a boat or yacht tour. For the convenience of visitors on the beach, there are locker rooms and toilets, rental of sun loungers and umbrellas.
You can get to the thalassotherapeutic resort of Mangalia by train from Bucharest, Constanta, Yass, Sibiu, and other cities. It also has a regular bus service to Constanta and other Black Sea resorts in Romania. Among the sights, it is worth noting the archeological museum and the stud farm.
When is it better to go
The sea season on Romanian beaches opens at the end of spring and lasts at least 3.5-4 months, until the end of September. In May, as a rule, the sea is still quite cool – the average water temperature is + 17°C, air temperature – +20° C, sometimes it can rain. With the beginning of June, the water in the sea warms up and becomes pleasant for swimming.
High season on the Romanian beaches falls in July and August. It is sunny and warm at this time: air temperature – +30° C, water – +25° C, rains are rare – not more than 1-2 times a month. This period is ideal for families with children. Tourists who can not stand the heat, most of all will like a vacation on the beach in early September, when the sea is still warm, but the sun is not as hot as in the summer.
