Beach description
On the beach 500 meters long lies dark fine sand. The picturesque beach is located in a bay at the foot of the Sierra de Tejada cliff. Most vacationers are Spaniards who come to the Playa de Maro in the summer months. The place attracts tourists who enjoy a relaxing holiday.
On the beach of Playa de Maro, the bottom is smoothly lower, the water is clear and warm, the waves are medium size. There is a car park 100 meters from the beach, a diving platform is equipped by the water. There is a shower, toilet, shops, rental umbrellas and sun loungers, as well as rescue towers. Of the water activities at Playa de Maro, diving, kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving are developed. Fishing is prohibited in these areas.
There is a waterfall within the resort - it was formed from the mountain stream Maro, which flows down the rocky coast. The beach is reached by car or on a mountain trail. A local attraction is a medieval cliff-top watchtower.
