Coronado Beach is the perfect place to ride a board, walk a dog, or lazy to relax. It is famous for its natural pools, beautiful architecture, lots of entertainment. There are many hotels, bars, cafes and restaurants. Coronado is an exemplary California beach with a wide beach, soft sand, lush vegetation and excellent waves. It has only one drawback – cool waters. For swimming in spring and autumn, you will need a wetsuit.
South State Beach is a picturesque sandy beach that stretches from the road to McClellan-Palomar airport to La Costa Avenue. Unlike carlsbad's North beach, the South coast is characterized by a more secluded atmosphere and a minimum of camping facilities. Fans of silence and active water activities go here to relax (in particular, surfing and underwater fishing).
