Lalomanu beach
Lalomanu Beach is an untouched white-sand beach surrounded by picturesque thickets of tropical greenery. It's located in a semi-transparent lagoon in the village of the same name in the southeast of Upolu Island, about an hour away from the capital, Apia. There's a reason why the sign at the entrance says: "Come and enjoy heaven" - clean sand, warm blue ocean, breeze and beautiful panoramic views guarantee a relaxed beach vacation.

This is one of the most popular beach of Samoa. The coral lagoon here is part of the sea reserve, and the visitors can wear scuba gear to explore the rich tropical underwater fauna. Other beach attractions include kayaking and swimming. There's a hotel near the beach that consists of several fale - straw huts. You can stay the night at the beach if you rent one. There are also showers and toilets, as well as cafes that serve fish meals.
If you come to Lalomanu Beach, there's a good chance to visit the neighboring beaches: on the north - Namua Island and the opportunity to swim with green turtles, on the south - Nu'utele Island and its nesting places of seabirds. Besides, you can also walk to the dormant volcanic crater and see rare flying foxes.

In the summer season, which lasts from November to April, hot and humid weather prevails on the island, in the winter (May to October) it is dry and warm. Geographically, the island is located in the cyclone passage zone, therefore it is always windy, and in the summer season the hurricanes and storms are often here. The maximum amount of rain falls during the period from December to April. May-October is the most favorable time for a holiday in Samoa.
