Vaiala beach
Vaiala Beachis located near Apia, the only city and the capital of Samoa, on the shore of the Pacific Ocean. Despite the well-developed infrastructure in this part of the island, the beach is mostly empty. Many tourists are attracted by Apia itself, with its colorful temples, historical buildings and the spirit of an ancient port city.

Vaiala Beach is located just several hundred meters away from the center of Apia. White sand with contrasting black volcanic stones, tall palm trees that grow over the beach and the loud bright blue ocean with turquoise tint make this place feel like heaven. The water is crystal clear and attracts snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. The main danger here are the underwater currents marked by buoys, as well as the volcanic stones on the sea bottom, so it's advised to wear slippers if you want to walk along the coast.
The unique sea reserve, Palolo Deep Marine Reserve, is located near Vaiala. Besides great snorkeling experience, this place also attracts locals and tourists with the mysterious deep blue cave where one can see many rare beautiful tropical fish.
When is the best time to go?
The climate in Samoa is divided into 2 seasons. In the summer season, which lasts from November to April, hot and humid weather prevails on the island, in the winter (May to October) it is dry and warm. The average t ° of air in Samoa is + 26 °C, the water on the beaches is + 24 °C and higher, the average rainfall is 3,000 mm/year. Geographically, the island is located in the cyclone passage zone, therefore it is always windy, and in the summer season the hurricanes and storms are often here. The maximum amount of rain falls during the period from December to April. May-October is the most favorable time for a holiday in Samoa.
