Lonnoc beach
Among local residents, the beach is better known as "White Sand", it is located on Espiritu Santo island. There is white sand, warm water and gentle sun, but it is very deep not far from the shore, so swimming and relaxing on the beach with children is not very comfortable. It is most convenient to get to the place from Luganville (there is an internal airport), only an hour by bus, but usually, tourists are provided with a transfer by prior arrangement.

The advantage of Lonnoc Beach is its location near the famous Champagne beach and amazing corals, which together with exotic fish species make snorkeling in these places unforgettable. Accommodation on the coastline is organized in a bungalow, small authentic houses completely convey the original culture and mentality of local residents.
The original cuisine will complete the picture: cocktails, served in coconuts, barbecue, fruit salads and seafood - all dishes are made from seasonal vegetables and fruits. There is possible to rent a car and go to the equally famous Elephant Island or to the Watte reserve, go diving or visit the cave with bats. Excursions to local villages are organized here as well, so that tourists can see the village lifestyle, orchards and vegetable gardens.
When is the best time to go?
From December to March, Vanuatu becomes restless: local residents and tourists can be disturbed by rains and hurricanes. The best time to visit the islands is summer and early autumn, when the southeast trade winds slightly remove the heat.
