Medina beach

Playa Medina Beach is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. It is located on a former coconut plantation, an hour's drive from Rio Caribe, in northern Sucre. You can get to the beach by car or taxi. During the season it is very crowded, especially on weekends when crowds of locals come.

Beach description

the Medina Beach is a combination of fine golden sand, pure azure water, picturesque rocks and tropical greenery. It is ideal for a peaceful beach holiday with children, a couple or a company. Palm trees, densely growing all over the coast, reach here to the very water. The descent into the sea is gentle, the bottom is sandy, the water is calm and transparent, which creates all conditions for swimming, snorkeling, boating. Hungry visitors can eat in local cafes and stay overnight right on the beach to see a stunning tropical sunset. There are several bungalows to reserve in advance.

On A Holiday at Medina Beach, tourists can also visit the neighboring beach- Playa Puy, which is only 20 minutes away and on the way to the Rio Caribbean- a chocolate factory.

When is the best time to go?

Venezuela was lucky with its geographical location: hurricanes and tornadoes almost do not pass through the territory of this country, and thanks to the subequatorial climate, the temperature does not fall below 20 and does not rise above 27 degrees all year round. The best time to visit Venezuela is from November to May, during the dry season.
