Mawi beach
Mawi Beach is a small natural beach on the island of Lombok, located 16 km from the airport and 45 km from the popular resort of Kuta. It is quite difficult to get to it, since the beach is off the road, surrounded by hills and cliffs. It is most convenient to do this on a rented car or scooter.

Beach description
The length of Mawi Beach is about 150 meters. Local high-class, frequent waves with a height of more than 1 m are great for water sports, so Mawi Beach is very popular among surfers. Turquoise water and fine white sand attract fans to sunbathe, swim, watch surfers and enjoy the picturesque sunsets.
Entrance to Mawi Beach is paid. The beach infrastructure is represented by parking, free beach houses, a small restaurant offering local food, several points selling corn and coconuts, and rental of surfing equipment. Rest here gives you the opportunity to visit local attractions – the underground cave Bangkang, waterfalls Benang Stokel & Benang Kelambu.
When is it better to go?
The air temperature throughout the year differs little and keeps within + 28-30 degrees. In the evening and at night, it is slightly cooler, but the thermometer rarely falls below +23 degrees. The water temperature is also stable. In order to avoid the rainy season (months from December to March), it is better to visit the country from May to August.
