Senggigi is famous for colourful reef, which is good to investigate during diving and snorkeling. High waves create great conditions for surfing. Another activity at Senggigi is fishing, mostly for locals.
Almost 10 kilometer long Senggigi is rarely crowded. The panorama of this beach is endless with the active volcano Agung visible on the horizon. Another interesting feature of this place are sounds of gemalan, indonesian orchestra. It can be heard from everywhere, merging into one with the sounds of the ocean. The beach is covered with fine and soft white sand. Senggigi is surrounded by high coconut palms and tropical trees, which create natural shade near the shore. The sunset is beautiful, too, many people compare it with the glare from fireworks, which shimmers with all the colors of the rainbow.
When is it better to go?
The air temperature throughout the year differs little and keeps within + 28-30 degrees. In the evening and at night, it is slightly cooler, but the thermometer rarely falls below +23 degrees. The water temperature is also stable. In order to avoid the rainy season (months from December to March), it is better to visit the country from May to August.
