Rach Vem beach

Rach Vem Beach is one of the most remote and least visited of all the beaches and bays on the island of Phu Quoc, however, Rach Vem Beach is one of the most calm, picturesque and intact parts of the island. The beach is long and narrow, the sea is bright turquoise with calm water and a smooth shallow entrance.

Beach description

The beach is covered with light yellow, almost white sand with silvery inclusions. The texture of the sand is soft and pleasant, but due to the lack of infrastructure on Rah Vem, natural garbage in the form of branches and leaves is often found on the coast. Rah Vem Beach is surrounded by high hills, covered with dense green trees. Since the beach is little-known, its territory is often deserted.

It is worth noting, that Rach Vem Beach is a "working beach". Several small fishing villages stretched along the shimmering, snow-white sand. Locals are good-natured and sociable, many tourists go to this beach to get acquainted with the customs and life principles of the island of Fukuok. On Rah Vem Beach, it is possible to see abandoned dilapidated fishing boats and fishing nets, which became the background for beautiful photos.

When is the best time to go?

Since Vietnam is a country stretching from north to south, the climate in its different parts is slightly different. In the north, high humidity and temperature are observed from May to October, but in the remaining months it is slightly drier and cooler. In the South, the rainy season is  longer, lasting from may to November, but even after it ends, the humidity does not subside. Therefore, it is better to go to popular resorts in the south of the country in winter or early spring.
