Sao Beach is considered to be the most beautiful and famous beach of a large island and Vietnam itself, if not all of Asia. And according to world estimates, the beach is rated quite high. This place is no worse than Long beach, except perhaps less more than twice. And the beauty of the local species is in no way inferior to Ong Lang Beach: the same untouched nature, but more developed infrastructure.

Externally, the beach area is a picture from a beautiful film - it is azure water surface, white sand near the coast and luxurious palm trees along the coastline. But the beauty of the beach is not only limited to beauty. It is an absolutely safe and suitable beach for any vacationer, either for a married couple with young children or a noisy group of friends. But finding a free lounger during the high season during the day is very problematic, as more and more tourists come to the rest spot every year.
It is possible to find a secluded corner for a relaxing and secluded rest only in the southern part of the beach, where the sand gets more yellow hue and becomes not so fine as in the central area of the coastline. It is better to swim here in the summer, when the winds depart a little, and the sea becomes calm. In the winter months, surfers prefer to relax on the beach territory, as the wind returns again, and waves follows it. During this period (october - mid-May), the waves are quite large here , especially towards to noon.
The beach is located on the southeastern coast of Phu Quoc Island, about 20-30 kilometers from the well-developed city of Duong Dong. The place of rest is reached by bus or rented transport - a car or a motorbike - which are so popular with local residents, that a separate parking lot is allocated for them on the beach. Sao Beach attracts not only with its pristine nature and the famous archipelago, access to which is quite simple here, but also with excellent fishing, scuba diving, which is organized in the nearest reefs.
Staying with children on the beach territory is very comfortable. The water is pure and clear, the sea near the coast is shallow and warm, without rocks and rocky areas, so swimming here is safe, it is possible to teach children to swim easily. The coastline is open for building castles from sand, searching for mollusks or shells, flying a kite and active games on the sand.
When is the best time to go?
Since Vietnam is a country stretching from north to south, the climate in its different parts is slightly different. In the north, high humidity and temperature are observed from May to October, but in the remaining months it is slightly drier and cooler. In the South, the rainy season is longer, lasting from may to November, but even after it ends, the humidity does not subside. Therefore, it is better to go to popular resorts in the south of the country in winter or early spring.

Accommodation in the area of the beach is still under construction. Some resorts on the beach have already been rebuilt, while some still only begin their history. Budget-friendly variants are, as always, located away from the beach, and the first line is reserved for comfortable guest houses or premium hotels. It offers to its guests not only chic rooms, but also spa services, swimming pools, a fitness center, a banquet hall and even a nanny for a child.
