French Leave beach

This place stands out among all Bahamian resorts in that the authorities and indigenous people protect the local colorful architecture and Bahamian traditional values. This is manifested in the fact that points of fast foods and chain restaurants, casinos, cruise liners and other things are not allowed to go ashore, which can entail an uncontrolled flow of tourists and loss of their own identity. This paradise is located between the magnificent coral reefs protecting its shore, surrounded by crystal clear turquoise water and swaying coconut branches. Not for nothing that many mass media outlets in their ratings call this harbor one of the most picturesque in the world, and its beach is the most beautiful beach on Earth.

Beach description

It is a magical beach with pink sand, one mile long. It is situated on Eleuthera island. It has unique location, in its turn, creating unique ecological conditions. The fact is that Eleuthera is a little bit elevated compared to the other islands, so it gets its stable dose of fresh tropical breeze. The beach is perfect for walks, swimming and diving. The beach is highly popular due to good promotion and vicinity to the popular recreation places.

French Leave Beach is popular but not crowded. Tourists like it at first sight for the pink sand beach, azure water, friendly people, and excellent local restaurants. When night falls, you can see more stars for one evening than for all your life. It is a paradise and just for romantic people - weather here is perfect during the entire year.

Thanks to reefs, water is calm for almost all the time. The bottom is shallow and sandy, so you will continue seeing your legs in water even if you go away from the beach. Many couples come here for honeymoon because this place resembles views from Bounty advertising clip where you can feel absolutely free and relaxed.

When is the best time to go?

Holidays in the Bahamas are good at any time of the year, but the busy season is in the period from mid-November to May. The Bahamas are disposed quite low in relation to sea level, so the wind blows in the winter months, but it is gentle and soberly pleasant. The air temperature is between 27-29 degrees from the end of autumn to the beginning of summer. Traveling with children, it is better to come in the autumn months, while the spring is more appropriate to go for new emotions, and peacefully enjoy the sunshine – in winter.
