Pink Sands beach
Pink Sands Beach is one of the most picturesque beaches not only in the Bahamas and the Caribbean, but also in the world, according to Forbes. This unique coastline with light pink sand (which gave the beach the corresponding name) is located on the eastern edge of the Bahamian island Harbor. Such unusual coloring and picturesque views made this beach a true haven for all romantics and couples in love and gave glory to one of the most colorful coasts on the planet.

Beach description
The surreal look of this Bahamian beach is given by foraminifera, the one-celled organisms colored in bright pink or purple-red. They live on the bottom of reefs and under rocks on the ocean bottom, but in the storm they are thrown ashore.
Their shells, together with the remains of corals, which have the same unusual coloring, are crushed to the smallest granules and mixed with the sand. As a result, holidaymakers can admire the most amazing views on this beach and the very dense sand of unusual color both on the shore and on the bottom. Because of the refraction of the sun's rays in the water, it seems pale red, but away from the shore the sand at the bottom is white.

When is the best time to go?
Holidays in the Bahamas are good at any time of the year, but the busy season is in the period from mid-November to May. The Bahamas are disposed quite low in relation to sea level, so the wind blows in the winter months, but it is gentle and soberly pleasant. The air temperature is between 27-29 degrees from the end of autumn to the beginning of summer. Traveling with children, it is better to come in the autumn months, while the spring is more appropriate to go for new emotions, and peacefully enjoy the sunshine – in winter.

You can rent a parasol, banana and sun lounger at the shore. Close to the beach there is a lot of souvenir shops and boutiques, as well as luxury hotels, restaurants and bars. There is an excellent elite restaurant right on the beach. Prices are not cheap, however the food and the atmosphere of romance, combined with the ability to observe the picturesque scenery of the coast, are worth the cost.
